Would you like to develop your skills in applied science? Could you benefit from a broad course with a forensic focus? This course gives a broad and fundamental understanding of science and its practical applications. The bioscience elements give you a specialist focus. The course focuses on practical assignments, which are supported by Biology, Chemistry and Physics theory. There will also be specialist units with a bioscience element. The team building and problem solving investigations will enable you to be an effective scientist. The course is ideal if you are progressing from GSCE achievements and looking for an alternative to A Levels. It is also suitable if you are coming from the Level 2 course or from a scientific background. The programme will be delivered through a blend of the following: You will also study the Welsh Baccalaureate Qualification alongside your core modules. The programme is assessed through a blend of the following: Completion of this programme provides you with a range of options in education and employment. The qualification is valued by universities, and you could progress onto a range of Higher Education programmes in Biology, Medical Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physics and other subjects. At Grŵp Llandrillo Menai you would be able to progress onto the BA (Hons) Public and Social Policy, or the Foundation Degree (FdSc) Policing. The qualification is also valued by employers, and you could enter working environments such as pathology or environmental laboratories, nursing, the probation service or the armed forces.
