There are none; however a good level of spoken and written English is essential. Also a basic level of numeracy is assumed. You must also be able to provide proof of Identification and proof of address as per SIA guidelines.

Who is the course for?

How long is the course?
The course consists of 20.5 hours minimum contact time (26 Guided Learning Hours), and is usually delivered over 3 consecutive days. However a flexible option is available for various bookings.
What does the course involve?
In order to apply for an SIA licence, learners must complete and pass all units as outlined below, and if successful will achieve a level 2 award in Security Guarding.
- Working in the Private Security Industry
- Working as a Security Officer
- Conflict Management for the Private Security Industry
Additional courses are available in Physical Intervention which compliment the Conflict Management element of the course.
