From print and broadcast media to online outlets and social media sites such as Twitter, the production and consumption of news has evolved and expanded. Today journalism is produced on more platforms than ever before and consumed through mobile phones and laptops alongside newspapers, TV and radio. Professional journalists continue to set the agenda, managing and validating information in a world swamped by citizen journalism and user-generated content.
