About this course

GCSE Maths and English at grade C plus either 2 A levels or a BTEC National or GNVQ Advanced.
Students without these qualifications who have considerable work experience will also be considered.

Special Features: The course is available at the Ashton centre. All students will have access to Learning Box (Virtual Learning Environment) and unlimited support and advice from staff. The only assessment method used is course work based on practical assignments which require application of knowledge to practical case studies.

Course Format: A variety of teaching methods are used including lectures, practical demonstration, group work and personal research.

Progression: Career opportunities are varied and include computer programming, systems analysis and design and management. In addition to specialist careers there are a range of opportunities in business where an in depth knowledge of information systems is a great asset.
