For entry onto this course, you ought to have one or more of the following:
· A National Certificate or Diploma in Engineering
· An AVCE in Engineering or Manufacture
· 2 A Level passes in relevant Maths and Science subjects.
· Other relevant qualifications will be considered for mature students.
*All students should preferably have some engineering experience*

Course Content: This course aims to provide you with a broad understanding of electronics systems design techniques as well as the application of those in various areas, such as telecommunications and consumer products. You will study 16 Units in total, including 6 mandatory core units such as:
· Business Management Techniques,
· Engineering Design,
· Engineering Science,
· Analytical Methods Projects
· Mechanical Principles.
· Electronic Principles
Ten further optional units are chosen, which, could include:
· Manufacturing Process,
· Computer Aided Machining,
· Programmable Logic Controllers,
· Pneumatics and Hydraulics,
· Quality Assurance & Management,
· Materials Engineering,
· Mechatronic
· Systems, Robot Technology,
· Optical Fibre Communications
