Certificate in Education (Education and Training) (Part-time)

You will be introduced to planning and principles of learning, learning media, methods of teaching, learning and assessment, and the underpinning educational theory to support your teaching practice. You will have a subject specialist mentor who provides support and guidance in the teaching of your curriculum subject. You will need to spend up to 20 hours per week on course related activities including class contact, logged teaching, preparation for teaching, private reading, preparation for formative and summative assessment activities. You will have an initial assessment of English, maths and ICT skills and commence the Professional Development Portfolio.
