Teaching Yoga
This qualification is particularly relevant for individuals who wish to pursue a career in teaching Yoga. Completion of this CYQ qualification will enable you to teach Yoga in either a group situation or one-to-one. Successful completion of this course will gain you entry at level 3 onto the Register of Exercise Professionals; REPs. It is also relevant for those already running such sessions without a formal qualification.
This course combines detailed knowledge of anatomy and physiology with a Yoga philosophy. It details the guidelines for teaching Asana, Pranayama, Mudra, Bandha, Kriyas and Meditation. This qualification will place you at the forefront of the Yoga industry as employers continue to seek teachers with government recognised qualifications.
The CYQ Level 3 course in Teaching Yoga is compiled of 4 units:
- Unit 1 – Exercise and Fitness Knowledge (Level 3)
- Unit 2 – Philosophy and Fundamentals of Yoga
- Unit 3 – Plan and Prepare to instruct a progressive Yoga session
- Unit 4 – Instruct, Manage, Adapt and Evaluate a Yoga session Assessment
You will be required to complete a variety of activities to gain this qualification. All of the assessment requirements will be clearly explained to you throughout the course by your tutors.
