The wide range of subjects covered includes: Advanced Structural Analysis; Design of Concrete and Steel Structures; Structural Dynamics and Earthquake Engineering; Hydraulic Structures and Costal Engineering; Project Management; Soil Structure Engineering; and Highway and Transportation Engineering.
There is a highly practical emphasis to our Diploma. You will learn the general theory and then apply it during fieldwork and by working on projects in our extensive laboratories, using the latest software.
These projects provide you with the learning opportunities and practical skills you will use in your future career.
You will leave with a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the most up-to-date practices and theories in civil engineering.
You will have the option to transfer to our MSc course, providing you meet the required standard. Many of our PGDip students go on to become accredited chartered engineers.
There is an acknowledged shortage of and growing demand for skilled civil engineers with the right qualifications and experience. We have designed this course to give you a competitive edge when it comes to your career.
As a graduate from our Civil Engineering PGDip course you can transfer onto the MSc course once you achieve the required averages.
