Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling - level 4

This is a practitioner course, allowing you to become a qualified Counsellor. It is taught over 24 months, one day per week Friday, to exclude school holidays. The course is Integrative using Transactional Analysis and Gestalt applications and theoretical models, teaching at a high level and with indepth,learning about Ego states, Script Analysis, Psychological Games, Impasse theory, Transactions, Discounting, and Introjects and Injunctions, etc and have lots of experiential opportunities with the Gestalt applications. You will be part of a small training group, with highly experienced and qualified tutors who are all Counsellor s and tutors. You can expect to experience lots of personal growth and development, accute awareness and knowledge of process in a safe and caring environment. It is expected that you will experience placements, working with the public to enhance your knowledge and skills, and will undertake regular supervision, and personal therapy. As this course is accredited, we work to government legislation and we experience regular moderated visits. If you have some previous counselling training, at certificate level, and wish to train and not disrupt your childcare arrangements and weekends, then this is an ideal opportunity to train as a counsellor.
