Description
This course gives a practical overview of employment legislation and the effects it could have on your organisation. The effects of the Employment Rights Act 1996, Employment Relations Act 1999 and Employment Act 2002 will be referred to during the workshop.

· The Contract of Employment
· Defining who is an employee/worker
· Dismissal
· Maternity/parental and other leave rights
· Disciplinary and grievance procedures
· Employment tribunals
· An appreciation of the Transfer of Undertaking (Protection of Employment) Regulations
· Other Employment Regulations including current and proposed changes

Presented in an interactive format with discussion and exchange of opinions. Tasks will be included which enable delegates to apply the knowledge they have gained.
