These courses are for students who wish to study English as a second or additional language. " To improve your skills in Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening " To gain a recognised qualification (Skills for Life) " To help prepare for the Citizenship Examination " To help prepare for work in the UK
What qualifications or experience do I need ?There are no formal entry requirements.
What will I study ?Adult part time day and evening courses are 4.5 hours per week. All lessons focus on speaking, listening, writing, reading and study skills. All students are given homework. All students are prepared for an exam at the end of the course.
How will I be assessed ?Assessment will be through: * Initial: Interview & written test. * On course: Continuous classroom assessment. * Ed-Excel Skills for Life ESOL examinations from Entry 1 to Level 2
What qualifications could I achieve ?All students take a suitable Ed-Excel ESOL Skills for Life examinations.
How do I join the course ?Southgate Campus Fill in an application form for the ESOL course you want to study and hand it in. You can get an application form from College Reception in the Main Building. All students will be invited in for an interview and assessment to decide on the most appropriate level of ESOL course Barnet Campus: Contact Course Information for further details on 0208266 4000
Will I need an interview ?Interview and initial assessment in order to put you in the correct level.
