FCA- Foundation Construction Award
This Foundation Construction Award (FCA) is designed as an introduction to
the practical skills and knowledge needed for plastering.
The course
will be assessed with a mix of practical and theory assessment throughout
the course culminating in an online exam to test knowledge.
Areas of
study will include: solid plastering ie rendering, skimming, screeding and
decorative plasterwork.
This course requires no formal qualifications
but an interest in construction is essential.
You will be asked to
carry out a skills assessment to determine the support you require to be
successful on your course.
Students can look to progress onto a Level 2
course or seek a career in industry.

This 30 day qualification course provides a progression route to achieving
a relevant Construction NVQ at Level 1.
