Course Content
This two-year course is designed to provide a broad understanding of the principles, properties and limitations of computers, including:
Developing computer systems;
Computer programming;
A range of information processing applications;
The mechanisms and methods which allow a computer system to perform a take efficiently.
In addition, students will be taught how to program computers using a structured programme language.
This course is equivalent to 40-120 UCAS points.
Teaching/Assessment
The skills acquired will be required to undertake practical programming projects in both the first and second year of the A Level course.
The course will be assessed by external examinations along with coursework throughout the year.
Progression
