Course Details

The units on the First Diploma course are designed for progression onto the EDEXCEL (BTEC) National Diploma in Music Practice. The course provides a wide range of activities in which the learner will gain experience of: Music Theory Music Performance Skills Recording Music business Sequencing As well as having the opportunity to form your own bands and compose original compositions you will be given the chance to record and take part in live performances. You will learn the basics of Music Theory and Notation, as well as how to use common music software such as Sibelius and Cubase.

Qualifications required:
4 GCSEs (grades A-D), including English. Students must demonstrate skill and commitment to the course through interview and audition.

1 year.
