Course programme
Students learn about various aspects of music production and technology and will develop a range of skills and techniques, personal qualities and attributes essential to make an immediate contribution to, and succeed in, the industry

- Live Sound for Small Venues
- Planning for Public Performance
- Composition in Context
- Composing for Film & TV
- Critical Music Listening
- The Music Business in the 21st Century
- Creative Arts Research Skills
Assessment is through coursework, written tests, assignments and project work
What may it lead to?Students may progress to the BA (Hons) Music Production and Technology a 1 year top-up degree offered at Canterbury College or similar degree top-up programmes, or may progress directly to employment within Music and related industries
Entry RequirementsApplicants must have at least one of the following: BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts, Popular Music, Music Technology, Music or a related course at MMP; Edexcel Vocational Certificate in Education (Double Award) in Performing Arts; 2 A Levels at C including Music/Music Technology or equivalent qualification, or appropriate work experience
Additional Information & Other CostsDelivery is through lectures, seminars and tutorials, normally over three days a week
