Applicants must possess one or more of the following qualifications: Level 3 Certificate/Diploma in Health & Social Care or related vocational area National Certificate/Diploma in Childrens Care Learning and Development or related vocational area At least one A Level with supporting passes at GCSE Grades A - C in 4 subjects Other related Level 3 Qualifications An Access to Higher Education Certificate Related Work Experience Applicants must satisfy Access NI clearance and a health check.

Course Content
This is a 16 unit programme, some examples include: Communicating, Values and Leadership in an Early Years Environment Theories of Development: Birth to Three Early Years Curriculum, Play and Learning Early Years Research and Project Understanding Childrens Behaviour
Course Aims
To provide: opportunities for students to gain a nationally recognised vocationally specific qualification to enter employment in the early years sector or progress to higher education vocational qualifications such as a full-time degree in early years. opportunities for managers in the early year settings to achieve a nationally recognised level 4 vocationally specific qualification
