Public Services BTEC Diploma (Level 1)
Course Content
This course is designed for learners who are considering a career in Public Services but as yet do not have the required level of entry or knowledge needed.
It will also provide a taster qualification for learners who have not confirmed their career choice but feel Public Services would interest them.
The six core study units include:
The uniformed and non-uniformed public services sector;
Introduction to fitness and lifestyle;
Personal effectiveness for the public services;
Diversity in the public services;
Social responsibility and the value of the citizen;
Introduction to health and safety in the public sector.
A further four specialist units must be completed to achieve the Level 1 BTEC Diploma in Public Services.
Progression
Successful students have the opportunity to progress onto the First Diploma in Public Services or other related courses.
