You will normally need to have at least one of the following and GCSEs in English and Maths at grade C or above or equivalent: - 160 UCAS points - 2 A Levels at grade C - BTEC National Diploma at MPP - Mature students without suitable academic entry requirements will be considered in light of relevant occupational experience. - For overseas students IELTS level 6 is required.

The full-time Travel and Tourism Management Higher National Diploma (HND) at Nescot is a 2-year course comprising 16 modules to develop your knowledge and understanding of management functions and requirements within the travel and tourism industry. Although most of the course focuses on the UK, there is a strong international perspective to the programme including at least one overseas residential trip. This course aims to equip you to be the industry managers of the future and will cover a wide range of travel and tourism components.
Course Details:
Assessment consists of internally set and marked assignments which are externally validated by the Awarding Body.

Career Progression:
Successful students may wish to progress onto a Top-Up degree course at another higher education institution. Alternatively, successful candidates may go directly into employment with tour operators, airlines, travel agencies, passenger transport operators, or visitor attractions often on their accelerated management programme
Other Information:
Work experience and educational visits will form a large component of this course. This will enable you to experience the industry first hand and help to consolidate your knowledge and understanding. Learning will take place in a variety of ways including; formal lectures, seminars, tutorials, educational visits and work placement. These will be delivered by a team of experienced industry specialists, trained in education. The learning environment will be interactive, thought provoking, demanding and fun.
Fees:
A range of educational visits will be arranged and should cost up to 300 for the year, dependent on which trips you select. The visits by the department in the past have included Disneyland Paris, Barcelona, Dublin, World Travel Market, Thorpe Park and London Dungeons.
