Course programme

This course extends and develops some of the knowledge gained in A-Level Mathematics as well as introducing new topics in the Pure section of the course such as matrices and complex numbers.


It may be studied alongside or after taking A-Level Mathematics.


Like Mathematics, it is a very useful A-level to have and is recommended for many degree courses particularly Mathematics, Physics, Economics and Engineering.


In fact, some universities insist on at least an AS-level in Further Mathematics if you are going on to study Mathematics at university-level.
