Course Overview
This course is suitable for students progressing from Hairdressing Level 2 or equivalent with an interest in advancing their skills in hairdressing. It covers a broader range of units at Level 3, which reflects the role of senior salon staff. It will give you the opportunity of becoming a fully qualified hairdresser. This level has been designed for senior staff or advanced technicians.

Additional training is highly recommended to enhance and supplement your main learning goal, to improve employment opportunities and add to your curriculumvitae. As such we endeavour to organise and arrange as varied external input as possible during your course of study.

The programme is delivered over one academic year (34 weeks).

Qualification Aims
C&G NVQ in Hairdressing at level 3

Assessments/Examinations
Continual written and practical assessments/assignments in both theory and practical aspects of the course. Practical assessments are carried out in a realistic work environment (RWE) on fee-paying clients. Level 3 students are required to continue carrying out Level 2 treatments in the RWE. A portfolio of evidence is compiled throughout the course and submitted for final verification.
