Is this course for me?
This course suits those who want to gain employment as
programmers, website designers, database designers/managers and
systems analysts.
What will I study?
This course is equivalent to three A levels. Learning is
achieved by completing practical projects and assignments that are
based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands.
Subjects covered include database management systems, visual
programming, introduction to software development, systems analysis
and design, website development and e-commerce.

What are the entry requirements?
You will need at least five GCSEs at grades A-C including maths
and English, a GNVQ Intermediate or equivalent with Merit, or to
have successfully completed the CIT pre-entry assessment. You may
also need a reference from previous academic courses.
How will I be assessed?
Assessment is through assignments, class work, group work, phase
tests, oral presentations, projects and formal examinations.
Students also have regular meetings with a tutor to discuss
personal development and to help plan studies.
What will it cost?
If you are under 19 and a home student, in most circumstances,
you don't pay any fees. However, you will need to find this out
when you apply.
