Level 3 NVQ in Health & Social Care (Adults)(2009/2010)
Study Method:
The programme is divided into half-day classroom sessions covering each of the units individually. A unit will be achieved when the candidate has successfully demonstrated competence in both theory and practical aspects of the units.
Duration :One half day per week, over 20 weeks, overall completion (including assessment) up to one year.
Who the Course is For:
The NVQ Care Level 3 is a vocational qualification, which confirms that a candidate is competent to national standards both in theory and practice.
This should be with any adult or elderly client group., including residential and domicillary.
Assessment:
You will be required to attend college to cover the theory of care. To assess your understanding of the theory, questions or assignments will be set by the college tutor and assessed by your assessor.
Course Leads To:
An NVQ Level 3 is equivalent to Senior Carer Level. It can also be considered for entry into nursing. Progression onto Management level would be dependent on obtaining an NVQ Level 4 and being in the appropriate management role.
