NVQs can be started at any point throughout the year and are very flexible in their nature. Prior to starting the course, a NVQ Assessor will visit the learner in their workplace and carry out a skills scan to assess the level of NVQ and the feasibility of completing the course. Level 2 learners should take up to 12 months to complete their NVQ. Level 3 and 4 learners should take between 12 and 18 months to complete their NVQ.
