Course objectives/key benefits:
To develop an individual's knowledge of the safety requirements, MMA welding technology and the practical application of the Manual Metal-Arc welding process.
Who the course is aimed at:
Skilled or semi skilled welders involved in production or maintenance work requiring an introduction or industrial updating of the M.M.A process.

Course content:
· Safety as applied to manual metal arc welding equipment
· Basic principles of the manual metal arc welding process
· Correct storage and selection of welding consumables
· Welds to be completed on steel, thickness ranging from 3mm-20mm plate as appropriate to delegates requirements

Steve Fitzgerald
Training method:
Classroom theory and practical workshop sessions.
Course outcome/qualification:
PTC Certificate of Attendance.
In addition certification associated to welder coding and/or welding procedure(s) can be arranged. Certification applicable to BS4872 or BSEN287 or ASME IX as appropriate - please enquire for details.
Pre-requisite knowledge/qualification:
