What will I learn?
This course is organised into modules which include managing money, working in two and three dimensions and making sense of data. It covers a range of skills including carrying out calculations, interpreting, presenting information and using measurements. By the end of this course you should be able to: - add, subtract, multiply and divide decimal numbers and check answers to calculations - calculate with fractions - calculate percentages, including percentage change, increase and decrease. - understand and use equivalences between fractions, decimals and percentages - understand and use positive and negative numbers - use and calculate ratio, scale and proportion - work with formulae (example: converting between Centigrade and Fahrenheit) - convert between currencies and between imperial and metric measures - recognise and use 2D representations of 3D objects - find area, perimeter and volume of common shapes - interpret statistical measures and tables, graphs and diagrams - express and compare probabilities
