Course programme
Moving and Handling (People) Update.
This half day course includes all the new legislation covering moving and handling. The main aim of having a yearly update is to try and reduce the amount of injuries to backs. Traditional teaching of legislation, spinal anatomy and loads and forces on the spine are covered. However, personal postural analysis is carried out, with recommendations for each person on corrective and preventative measures to be taken.
Finally a range of innovative exercises and strengthening moves are worked through to enable participants to strengthen their backs for the tough day to day work that Health Care professionals face.
The course has received significant acclaim from professionals at all levels within the Health Care sector who have loved the innovative approach and the depth of professionalism.
