Study in school, college & the workplace. Fancy a career in fashion? Are you ready now for college or work? Have you considered a Work Based Learning Pathway? A Work Based Learning Pathway in Fashion is available to all 14 - 19 year olds. This is a two year course made up of units covering: Pattern Cutting, Sewing and Textiles. You will be given the opportunity to experience college life and working in industry. The Work Based Learning Pathway in Fashion is equivalent to studying 2 GCSE's. This is a credible alternative for students who prefer a more hands-on form of study. This course provides an opportunity for pupils to study in a college environment and the workplace. The work related experience gained by pupils will be of significant benefit in securing employment or access to further and higher education.

Assessment will be through portfolio evidence to include: Sketchbooks/workbooks. Assignments. Product evidence. Photographic evidence. Reports/notes. The work related experience will include: Company visits to support project or course work. Work placement. Guest speakers from industry in the classroom. Real projects set by local companies.
