Course Outline

• Aimed at those with an interest in working within the Hair and Beauty environment. This Level 1 qualification is made up of a minimum of seven units, though many students complete the maximum nine units.
• The qualification is assessed through a portfolio of coursework, practical observations and one synoptic examination paper.

• Personal presentation
• Health and Safety
• Hairdressing Services
• Basic perming and colouring
• Applying basic makeup
• Providing basic manicure

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements and our staff can help you decide which course is most suitable for your needs. Students must show a keen interest in the occupational area.

Each unit is assessed separately so that unit certificates can be awarded where and if necessary.

Other Qualifications

Students are encouraged to take other qualifications alongside which will help them to realise their own goals.
