Course programme
Scaravelli Inspired yoga is the stress free new yoga that works with the body to restore health, vitality and energy.
Vanda Scaravelli came to yoga relatively late in life, and, suffering herself from a severe scoliosis, developed her own innovative and transformative approach to yoga. Based on the principles of breath, gravity, and the natural flexibility of the spine, her revolutionary approach listens to the body and mind, working with them to achieve dramatic results and improve overall structural fitness. As she reminded her students: “If you are kind to your body, it will respond in an incredible way”.
This Immersion is designed to convey and explore how this unique, subtle approach helps to release and restore the natural flexibility of the body, maintaining overall health + a naturally supple spine.
This course will provide a practical understanding of this approach to yoga for all serious students, teachers, or teacher trainees. It is the only course to combine Scaravelli’s teachings with those of her friend and mentor, J Krishnamurti. During each weekend, we will examine and unravel our experiences, discovering and revealing new skills and a deeper understanding of our bodies, and, ultimately, ourselves.
StructureThis Immersion consists of three weekends, spaced over three months, with each weekend building on the knowledge and experience gained in the one previous. Each weekend will consist of 13 hours of class, with 70% spent on practical explorations of asanas and breathwork, with the remaining 30% divided between Krishnamurti's philosophy, experiential anatomy, and meditation/contemplation.Serious yoga students who are looking for an approach which can help them deepen their physical and psychological approach to yoga.
