The course offers the security professional the chance to enhance their skills and improve their career progression. Suitable for: Anyone seeking professional recognition and qualification within the security sector at middle and senior management levels. The course is open to all those who operate within the private and public security sectors. People who have previously taken the qualification include holders of the SyI Certificate in Security Management, security managers, health and safety managers, senior police officers, fire service personnel and experienced members of the armed services.
About this course
Eligibility: 5 years security management experience (years service in the armed forces is eligible as evidence for eligibility) or successful completion of the SyI Certificate in Security Management.

The Diploma leads to full ‘Membership’ of the Security Institute and the entitlement to use the letters MSyI after your name (subject to application and validation). The Diploma is the most senior qualification offered by the Security Institute and offers the security professional the chance to enhance their skills and improve their career progression.
What you will learn
The course is delivered and assessed entirely by distance learning and consists of five mandatory Modules. Assessment is by coursework that is marked and returned as the course progresses. The Modules are as follows:
- Understanding security
- Threats to security
- Risk management
- The legal system
- Management

The course is delivered by distance learning giving you the advantage of being able to start the course throughout the year and study anywhere in the world.
Whilst you are working towards your qualification you will have contact with experienced tutors (members of the SyI and holders of Masters Degrees in Security. Our course administrators are also available to deal with any admin related issues.

Enhanced learning credits Funding
Perpetuity Training is accredited by the Enhanced Learning Credits Scheme (ELC) and recognised by the Enhanced Learning Credits Administration Services (ELCAS.) Our Registration No. is 1787.
The Scheme provides financial support to eligibel Service personnel who wish to enhance their educational or vocational achievements. ELC's are available at two levels ranging from £1,000 to £2,000.
Resettlement Funding
The Individual Resettlement Training Costs (IRTC) grant of £534 is provided to Service Leavers as a contribution towards the costs of Resettlement Training.
