Overview
CRW Special Projects Limited has designed this course specifically to provide the skills and qualifications to become a Security Industry Authority (SIA) Approved Trainer.
Upon successful completion of the programme candidates will have the required qualifications to deliver SIA Approved Training (With required experience)
We are also able to give guidance and advice for those wishing to apply for: -
- Chartered Institute of Environmental Health Centre Approval to deliver Level 2 Conflict Management.
- Edexcel BTEC Centre Approval to deliver SIA recognised Level 2 Door Supervision and Level 2 Security Operations qualifications.
The course is delivered in two modules:
Module 1 - Edexcel Level 3 BTEC Award in Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS)
Duration – 3 Days
This qualification is recognised by the SIA as a minimum requirement for those wishing to deliver SIA Approved training. The Lifelong Learning UK also recognises this as the minimum requirement for those wishing to deliver post 16 education.

This course is recognised as a 60 hour programme, with approximately 30 hours of pre-course study and 30 hours of learning provided during the course.
Module 2 - Edexcel Level 3 BTEC Award in the Delivery of Conflict Management Training
Duration – 3 Days
The Edexcel Level 3 BTEC Award in the Delivery of Conflict Management Training relates to the Security Industry Authority specification for Conflict Management Trainers.
This programme is designed to provide:
- Training for those working in the security sector or similar industries who have a responsibility to provide conflict management training to others
- Opportunities for personnel who train in the security sector or similar industries to achieve a nationally recognised Level 3 vocationally-specific qualification
- The knowledge, understanding and skills that learners need to provide effective conflict management training
- Opportunities for learners to focus on the development of the major key skills and the wider key skills in a security and conflict management context, such as improving own learning and performance, working with others and problem solving
- Opportunities for learners to develop a range of skills and techniques, personal qualities and attitudes that are essential for successful performance in a training environment.
This is a 60 hour qualification consisting of pre course study and a 2 Day tutor led programme.
To achieve the whole qualification, a learner must successfully complete both units.
