2. Course description You will learn how to measure up and calculate the quantity of fabric needed for your project. We will cover how to make curtains and blinds, including how to interline and line them using a variety of different heading types. Other home textile projects will also be covered, including cushions, throws, linen etc. You will have the opportunity to improve your own sewing machine skills as well as learn some new hand sewing techniques. We will also talk about styles, colours and design aspects in relation to your needs.

3. Entry requirements All abilities welcome. Basic sewing skills would be useful.We welcome learners with additional needs and disabilities. Please let staff know if you require any extra support when you enrol and they will arrange for a member of the Supported Learning Team to contact you to discuss your support needs. Equipment required Notebook and pen.Items to bring to the first session of the course:-Pen, paper, calculator, basic window measurements, ideas, and pictures of anything you would like to create photographs of windows or projects. Sewing items and fabrics will be required on all further weeks; these will be discussed in detail at the first class. 5. Assessment method Not available
