Course 122 - SPECIALISED PLANT and MACHINERY OPERATIONS S/NVQ LEVEL 2

• Identify hazards and follow safe systems of work
• Demonstrate that they have the necessary practical skills and
• The knowledge to do their work effectively and efficiently
• Meet the requirements to gain a "Construction Plant Competence Scheme" (CPCS) Competent Operator Card or the units required where there is no full VQ.

This qualification is designed for candidates working with mobile plant.
It is anticipated this VQ should take around 3 - 12 months to complete.

Transport and Discharge Bulk Material Loads

Extract and Excavate Materials

Lift, Transfer and Position Loads

Distribute, Layer and Consolidate Materials

Lift, Transfer and Position Loads for Access

Demonstration of skill, knowledge and understanding to the standard specified by the performance criteria of each unit of the NVQ. This can be achieved through gathering evidence, portfolio building, witness testimonies and questioning.

Eligible companies may be able to claim grants toward their Training as this course is CITB approved for grant purposes.

SQA Certificate Level II in Specialised Plant and Machinery Operations.

City & Guilds Certificate Level II in Specialised Plant and Machinery Operations.

Construction Plant Competence Scheme Competent Operator Card (BLUE CARD).
