Warehousing and Storage Operations Level 2 NVQ

The OCR Level 2 NVQ in Warehousing and Storage is primarily aimed at candidates who undertake varied warehousing, storage and logistics activities at level 2. The qualification is about the safe and efficient receipt, movement, storage, handling and dispatch of goods in a warehousing and logistics environment. Candidates should have a degree of autonomy and be required to make decisions within agreed boundaries and limits.To achieve this qualification, candidates must achieve 8 units made up of 2 mandatory units and 6 optional units. Candidates can also undertake additional units, although these are not required to complete the qualification.Mandatory units- Maintain health, safety and security in logistics operations - Develop effective working relationships with colleagues in logistics operations Optional units- Provide customers with information and advice on goods and services- Operate equipment to perform work requirements - Move goods in logistics facilities - Receive goods from deliveries - Place goods in storage - Maintain the safety and quality of goods - Maintain the safety of hazardous goods and materials - Maintain hygiene standards in handling and storing goods - Process orders for dispatch to customers - Assemble orders for dispatch - Dispatch goods for delivery - Process returned goods - Sort goods and materials for recycling - Manage the receipt, storage, or dispatch of goods - Audit stock levels and stock records

Assessment of all NVQs is through submission of a portfolio of evidence and professional discussion, to demonstrate that the requirements are met at the relevant standard
