Do you want to get qualified as an NVQ / Vocational Assessor, quickly, simply, and without having to attend weeks of dull classes that don't suit your schedule? Would you rather have personal contact with your tutor than complete an online course with little or no support? ATDirect specialises in delivering the NVQ Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (formerly the A1).

It is a blended course comprising of a 1-day theory classroom day followed by completing the 4 assessments that create your portfolio, you will complete the portfolio remotely, in your own time and with our support.
The Education and Training course qualifies you to be a Trainer in the field in which you are occupationally competent. Technically, Trainers don’t need to be qualified – however, if government funding is supporting the training (eg Apprenticeships, colleges etc), then Trainers are usually required to be qualified. Given that apprenticeships are becoming more widespread it makes perfect sense for Assessors to be dual qualified as Trainers.

About this course

The Education and Trainer course is an entry-level ‘Trainer’ qualification and ideally complements the Assessor qualification. It can meet the needs of a range of trainee teachers, such as:
• individuals not currently teaching or training; or,
• individuals currently teaching and training; or,
• individuals currently working as assessors who wish to achieve a qualification that provides an introduction to teaching.
It is intended for those wishing to do both the Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Achievement and the Level 3 in Education in Training over 2 days.

    2. H/601/5314 Assess Occupational Competence in the Work Environment (2 assessments)
    3. F/601/5319 Assess Vocational Skills, Knowledge and Understanding (2 assessments, 1 of the 4 observed)
  2. L3 Education & Training Units:
    1. H/505/0053 Understanding roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training (K&U)
    2. F/502/9548 Facilitate learning and development in groups (1 hrs training, only need to observe a 15-min 'microteach')
    3. D/601/5313 Understanding the principles and practices of assessment (Part of both quals so only done once or would be credit transfer for someone who already has this Unit)
