Overview

On this course you will learn about the subject of Global illumination as it refers to interior and exterior lighting. This course covers the principles of not only lighting in general but of photon mapping and its associated techniques whilst showing how to apply these within the VRAY renderer. It also covers which are the best settings to use in order to optimise the rendering time of your scenes.

Who is this course for?

Anybody wishing to learn how to improve the quality of their rendered images using the VRAY rendering system and is geared toward the CG artist that already has a basic understanding of direct lighting and is making the transition to GI lighting.

Assumed Knowledge

Attendees require only a very general knowledge of 3D and its concepts although a basic understanding of computer hardware and software is essential. Knowledge of other digital media packages is an advantage but not a necessity.
