Course Aims
To give foundation training and assessment towards the achievement of a Construction Plant Competence Scheme (CPCS) Trained Operator Card.
Course Benefits
The course content will include:
- Driving site dumpers of various types and capacities
- Driving under varying site conditions, including gradients
- Positioning the dumper correctly for loading from and discharging into excavations
- Towing and reversing a small trailer
- The various checks and maintenance to be carried out before commencing work
- Correct and safe methods of starting and stopping engines
- Safety precautions which must be observed
- Capacities and limitations, legal requirements

Completion Certificate
Upon successful achievement of both the Theory and Practical Tests delegate will receive a CPCS Trained Operator Card which is valid for two years.
Please be advised that in order to undertake this course you will need to supply the following information at the time of booking: delegate’s full name, date of birth, national insurance number, CITB number and the date that the CSCS Operatives Health and Safety Touch Screen Test was passed. PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT ALL DELEGATES MUST HAVE A VALID CSCS TOUCH SCREEN TEST OR THEY WILL BE UNABLE TO SIT THE COURSE AND NO REFUND WILL BE ISSUED.
