Course Description:
A course that combines literary and linguistic approaches through the study of a range of texts written in different styles. Spoken English and the history of English are also explored.

Description Breakdown:
There are 2 units of study. Unit 3 is exam based and is worth 60% of your A2 mark. Your task will be to write a comparative essay linking 3 different types of text and to adapt texts to specific audiences and purposes. Unit 4 is a piece of coursework and is worth 40% of your A2 mark. It is a task based on the comparative analysis of 2 poetry texts.
