Course programme
A student who wishes to study full-time to progress to University courses having recently achieved a range of GCSE and AS qualifications.
What qualifications or experience do I need ?2 AS Levels at grades A-D including this subject. E grades will be considered on an individual basis. GCSE English grade B or above.
What will I study ?A2 Law Specification - H534 Examining Board - OCR Unit 1 - Criminal Law. Will include the offences of murder and manslaughter, preliminary crimes, general defences, property and non-fatal offences against the person. Unit 2 - Synoptic * In addition, Tutorial will be added.
How will I be assessed ?Assessment will be through examination only.
What qualifications could I achieve ?On successful completion of this subject, the candidate will gain an A Level certificate in Law.
How do I join the course ?You must complete a full-time application form and make an appointment for an interview with a tutor. References will be required from your previous educational establishment.
Will I need an interview ?Yes, before you can enrol.
Any extra costs for equipment/materials ?Yes, recommended reading includes: OCR Criminal Law for A2 by J. Martin Criminal Law by Elliott & Quinn Visits will include a trip to the Old Bailey and a Law Conference.
