There are 3 main areas in AS level Mathematics you will take either Mechanics or Statistics:
Pure Mathematics
Modules C1 and C2

A2 Level (Second Year of Course)

Mechanics Class

How will I be assessed?
All 6 modules carry equal weight and your final grade is calculated by summing the individual module marks.
These modules are mostly examined by a 1½ hour written paper. The exceptions are:
20% of the C3 mark is acquired from a piece coursework
20% of the C4 mark is acquired from a maths comprehension paper
What can I do after completing this course?
Mathematics is a widely respected subject because it trains the mind to think logically and analytically. It is an A-level very favourably viewed by all universities and employers. It combines well with the sciences and social sciences. A-level Maths can lead to careers in economics and finance, science and engineering, computing, medicine, statistics, and many others.
