A2 Mathematics

Who is this course for?

A student who wishes to study full-time to progress to university courses having recently achieved a range of GCSE and AS qualifications. Students should have completed AS Maths at Barnet College, although students from other institutions will be considered.

What qualifications or experience do I need ?

GCSE Maths grade B or above. AS Mathematics grade A-C

What will I study ?

A2 Maths specification - 9371 Examining Board - EDEXCEL Maths comprises Core 3 and Core 4 and one application module (Statistics, Mechanics). * In additon, Tutorial will be added.

How will I be assessed ?

Each unit will be assessed with a 90 minute exam in June.

What qualifications could I achieve ?

On successful completion of this subject, you will gain an A Level certificate in Mathematics.

How do I join the course ?

You must complete a full-time application form and make an appointment for an interview with a tutor. References will be required from your previous educational establishment.

Will I need an interview ?

Yes, before you can enrol.

Any extra costs for equipment/materials ?

Yes, students are expected to buy their own textbooks, scientific calculator (not graphical) and other maths equipment.
