Course programme
A student who wishes to study full-time to progress to university courses having recently achieved a range of GCSE and AS qualifications.
What qualifications or experience do I need ?2 AS Levels at grades A-D including this subject. E grades will be considered on an individual basis. GCSE Maths grade C or above. GCSE English Language grade B or above. GCSE Double Science grade CC (desirable)
What will I study ?A2 Psychology specification - 6181 Examining Board - AQA Unit 3 - Your Tutor will select one of the following: Relationships, Perception, Eating Behaviour Unit 4 - Psychopathology, Psychology in Action, Research Methods * In addition, Tutorial will be added.
How will I be assessed ?Assessment will be through: * examinations in January and June according to the specification of the awarding Examining Board.
What qualifications could I achieve ?On successful completion of this subject, you will gain an A Level certificate in Psychology.
How do I join the course ?You must complete a full-time application form and make an appointment for an interview with a tutor. References will be required from your previous educational establishment.
Will I need an interview ?Yes, before you can enrol.
Any extra costs for equipment/materials ?Yes, you will be expected to purchase a set text book to use in class and for individual study. You will be advised as to which text book to purchase at the start of the course.
