This course is free for school leavers (Aged 16-18)

Course Content: Throughout this course, you will study topics such as Trading, Profit and Loss Final Accounts and Balance Sheet. You will study source documents, e.g. evidence of our financial transactions, subsidiary books, ledger accounts and trial balance, progressing onto the accounts of Sole Traders and Limited Companies.

Special Features: There is no coursework assessment in this course, it is assessed by examination only. You will learn through individual and group work, exam question practice and practical activities.

Additional weekly support lessons are an essential part of the course.

Course Format: External assessment by two exams each year.

In class assessment to monitor progress.

Progression: Students who wish to progress onto A2 Accounting must achieve grade D at AS.
