What will I study?
You will study four core units and eight specialist units
Core Unit 1
Music and Society â€" the way that everybody interacts with music
Core Unit 2
Music Project â€" This is a performance unit for you to create a live and substantial music event
Core Unit 3
Planning a Music Project â€" Your total organisation of the Music event
Core Unit 4
The Sound and Music Industry â€" How the industry works
Specialist Units
You will choose from a range of performance and theoretical topics
What skills do I need?
You will be an instrumentalist and/or vocalist. Good ICT skills in addition.
How will I be taught?
You will be taught in classes, in groups and individually. In addition, you should be having lessons on your instrument of voice
How is the course assessed?
Assessment is by practicals and coursework. In addition to your teacher, the college will be allocated and External Verifier who will oversee all your work
