Few subjects have as broad a remit as geography, which is essentially the study of planet earth - its features, its tectonics, its phenomena and its inhabitants. Our distance learning A level will give you a comprehensive understanding of many of geography;s different elements, including the make-up of the planet and the processes that affect it, the different changes that take place in rural and urban settlements, energy issues and the impact of tourism. If you're interested in studying this subject or a related one at degree level, or working in tourism, conservation, or any area of work that involves dealing with either the planet and its resources or its relationship with humankind, this course will set you in good stead.

Previous study of geography at GCSE level is useful but not essential. Essay-writing skills and a grasp of simple statistics and data interpretation are advisable.
