You will find it interesting to see how. different 'classical' thinkers have held different views about society and how there are different ways in which society can be studied. About this course
Most of our A Levels have special entry requirements. In general Oxford Open Learning will admit students for A Level who have a minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade C and above. These would ideally include English and Maths.

The Syllabus This course prepares candidates for the AQA Sociology AS level syllabus 1191, for examination in 2009 and later years. Most candidates will then study the A2 syllabus 2191. The full Advanced Level qualification comprises AS and A2, its overall syllabus number is 2190. We have chosen this syllabus as it is the most suitable for distance learning
Assessment is by two written papers for the AS Level and two written papers for the A2 Level.
