What will I do on this course?

This course will enable you to express your ideas and opinions on a range of topics in both speech and written work.

Lessons are varied and include:

· Debates and discussions
· Role plays
· Group and pair work
· Individual work and presentations.

As part of the course you will cover:

· Speaking, listening, reading and writing
· The culture and society in German speaking countries
· Understanding native speakers and written materials
· Coping with working in a German speaking country
· Developing self-expression.

You will be encouraged to use the Learning Resource Centre in your own time.

How will I be assessed?
Through a combination of the following:
· Written examinations
· Oral exams
· Listening and reading comprehension exams
· Research, understanding and written response.

A Level German combined with other related A Levels will give you access to a wide range of degrees including: Business, Law or Philosophy. Alternatively, you could study one or more languages exclusively. Use of German is always appreciated in other countries and is an important skill in
