Why choose this course?
This course is ideal for both the student who enjoys the Performing Arts at a serious level and the student who wishes to pursue performance to Higher Education and thence as a career. The course embraces Dance, Drama and Music, and encourages a holistic approach to performance, allowing students to discover the ways in which the three areas complement each other and encouraging the versatility in the performer; so vital in today's world of professional performance.

What will I study?
You will study Dance, Drama and Music- the basic elements of each art form and the ways in which they work separately and together in performance. You will study particular works by important practitioners to discover the particular context of their creativity and then devise your own work based on that understanding. This way you will learn the processes of devising and creating integrated pieces for public performance.

Huish Extra
You will go on at least three trips each year to exciting, professional productions. There are workshops with visiting practitioners and professional companies and many opportunities to perform in college productions, in addition to those which are integral to the course.
