You will develop your studio, darkroom, camera and digital skills in a variety of contexts, and learn how to convey your ideas visually and in writing using a specialist vocabulary. Over the year students will study towards 2 units, these are: Unit 1: Coursework which is 60% of grade Running from September to February and Unit 2 an externally assessed Assignment which is 40% of grade this runs from February to June, including an unaided exam piece that is made over an 8-hour period over 2 weeks. Students work towards a set theme in each unit. Students will research other photographers and artists, come up with ideas, map evidence of idea development, collect props, find locations, test ideas, experiment with techniques, materials and approaches, review results, direct final shoots, edit in photoshop and manage high quality final printing and presentation. Students will fill an A4 sketchbook for each unit (as a minimum) and have a series of test and final prints to submit. What subjects does it combine with?
