About this course
This course is for anyone who has a good grasp of Maths and English and want to work in an accounting environment. Ideally suited to people who are new to accounting finance and unqualified accounting staff who want to enhance their foundation knowledge and skills.
There are no prerequisites for this course, however we do recommend a good grasp of Maths and English and basic accounting knowledge.
This course will provide you with the knowledge to function in job roles such as Accounts Administrator, Accounts Assistant and Purchase/Sales Ledger Clerk.

- The AAT Level 2 Foundation Certificate in Accounting sits at Level 2 on the Qualifications and Credit Framework.

- Use of spreadsheets to convey information on actual and budgeted income and expenditure.
- Entering data at the start of an accounting period to set up customer and supplier accounts in accounting software.
- Recording and processing customer and supplier transactions.
- Recording and reconciling bank and cash transactions.
- Processing and using journals to enter accounting transactions
